Interview

René: Hello Evan, it’s so nice having you here. A lot of people already know you and I hope this interview will help people to get to know you even more. Please, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Evan: Hi René, thanks for having me. My name is Evan, I am from India and I’m in the top 30 under 30 entrepreneurs. I started working when I was in my early teens and built several apps. My first biggest success came when I sold my company at the age of 17. I made a few million dollars from that and invested in several companies. One of the most important things I have done is mainly investing in tech companies that make things easier and more convenient.

René: That makes sense. The tech sector is getting stronger every year. Happy birthday, by the way, I saw you recently celebrated.

Evan: Yes, thank you.

René: When and how did you get into the crypto world?

Evan: I got in pretty early, I think I bought my first bitcoin in 2012 and I have never looked back from there. I invested in several companies that wanted my help with blockchain at first. That’s when I started focusing on blockchain heavily because I could literally make the world a better place, help other entrepreneurs succeed, and be in the midst of a technological revolution.

René: What were the worst and best investments you ever made?

Evan: I won’t name specifically because I invest in a lot of companies and I consider myself an investor with high risk profile, so I go after big gains with also a huge risk. Investing is like a rollercoaster and you never know what you get in the end. Some projects looked 100% solid but they went to zero, however, some projects may surprise you and bring a 1,000% return or even more. It’s important to do due diligence, pick wisely, and don’t jump at every possible opportunity you discover.

René: What’s the best part of being a famous celebrity in the crypto/NFT communities?

Evan: One of the greatest benefits is, of course, financial freedom and the possibility to do anything. I travel around the whole world, meet a lot of great people, speak at conferences and I also feel like we are the generation that is changing the world forever for the better. Many industries use old systems and methods that can be easily replaced with blockchain, DeFi, and now even the metaverse. I also like to help others to start their projects and build communities where people help each other.

René: Do you think metaverse will be as big as people are saying?

Evan: It will probably be bigger than we think. We are used to playing games, watching videos and working online. There are many aspects of our lives that shift to the virtual world and the metaverse will only progress things further. VR & AR are still in the early stages, so their development with metaverse could become huge in a few years.

René: What are your favorite cryptocurrencies and why?

Evan: My favorite cryptocurrency for sure is Bitcoin. It’s the basic foundation of the cryptocurrency market. I also like Ethereum as it started the whole NFT trend but I can’t exactly tell other cryptos because I invest in a lot of them. I like many cryptocurrencies so my diversification is big and that’s what I think is the key to long-term success in investing.

René: What are your favorite NFT projects for the next few years?

Evan: Besides crypto, I also own Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT as you can see if you take a look at my social media profile picture. Recently, I also bought Clone X Mint Vial NFT I have some other NFTs too. I see huge potential in NFTs if the project really looks good and has utilities.

René: I totally agree about the utility within the NFT project. When do you think will Bitcoin hit $100,000 and why?

Evan: People like to hear when prices will soar again. I think it will happen but don’t know when. It’s all just a matter of time. It doesn’t matter if it happens within 6 months or 18 months, right? You can still be a part of new technology and make a nice profit that you won’t make so easily anywhere else.

René: What would you recommend to investors that are only starting out so they won’t get scammed and actually make great returns?

Evan: Don’t use leverage, that’s beneficial for traders. If you want to invest, find a good project, buy and hold it for long term. Everybody wants to get rich quickly nowadays but it takes some time. It’s very useful to buy projects that have real-world utilities and hold them for several years.

René: Any final advice for our readers on how to navigate in this fast-changing NFT/crypto world?

Evan: Stay curious, read a lot, and don’t be afraid to take risks. Crypto space is rising in popularity and prices very fast, and the earliest adopters will benefit from this growth the most. You may lose some money but those investments that work out can make 10x or even 20x.
