In the “Polium” console, you can play games created on different blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana. Moreover, the console will be powerful enough to run high-performance games and easy to use for a traditional gamer who doesn’t understand Web 3.0, which is crucial for everyone who wants to try the console but doesn’t know about Web3 and its technology.
The console controller will have a built-in fingerprint scanner. And it will also feature a dedicated wallet button to give players quick and easy access to their money. This multi-chain wallet is for trading, exchanging, gambling, and receiving cryptocurrencies.
The fingerprint functions and the dedicated wallet button give some benefits, such as more security and privacy, something not seen on many consoles. However, not everyone will be able to get Polium.
How to get Polium?
Polium said the console will launch in the third quarter of 2024. And that the way to pre-order it is by owning a “Polium Pass.” A Polium Pass is an NFT on the Ethereum network.
The opinion of the community
After the announcement of the release of the Polium console, many disliked it and showed their apathy towards the console through social media posts. This should not surprise us, as many people still do not accept or understand the potential and meaning of NFTs and cryptocurrencies.
Something that could also have influenced the community is that only four people are developing this project, which generates mistrust in a large part of the community. Another thing could be the logo since it looks a lot like the Nintendo Gamecube logo. This caused a lot of controversies, and even many accused the project of plagiarism. However, Polium has already confirmed plans to design a new original logo.
